Zoltán Holb was born in 1970 in Hungary. He completed his studies at the Franz Liszt Conservatory in Debrecen and in Budapest with Ferenc Tarjani. He was awarded the first prize at the Hungarian National Horn Competition several times. In 1995 he received the first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Paris with the Concordia Quintet. In the years 1992 to 2002 he was appointed solo hornist at the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest. Since 2003 Zoltán has held the same position with the Sinfonieorchester St. Gallen / CH. Zoltan also performs regularly in SOL Liechtenstein and the Symphony Orchestra Vorarlberg.
